Rosanna was born in the Dominican Republic. She came to the United States in 2008 with her daughter, then 2 ½ years old, to pursue her PhD in International Family and Community Studies at Clemson University in South Carolina. She has been involved in the Charlotte community since 2010 when she moved here to seek professional opportunities.
Rosanna’s interest for music and dance was instilled in her when she was 7 years old in the Dominican Republic, where she took classic ballet and folkloric dance lessons for over 9 years. She also enjoyed spending time at her mother’s home town where the tradition of music and dances were always vivid. Rosanna has a natural passion to get involved with the community and joined the Carolina Latin Dance Company as a parent in 2013.
Rosanna proudly serve the Board of the Carolina Latin Dance Company as the 2015-2016 treasurer. She also serves the community through her position as Assistant Director of Community Partnership for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte.
